Dr. Michelle L. Mazur-Kary
Dr. Michelle L. Mazur-Kary grew up in Michigan where she actually attended one of the last one room school houses (yes-just like “Little House on the Prairie”). She received her dental degree from the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry.
“My greatest passion is my dedication to my patients.”
In 1986, after completing a general practice residency at the University of Vermont, Dr. Mazur-Kary began practicing general dentistry in Norway, Maine and continued there for 13 years.
She then attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine for three years, where she completed her advanced endodontic training. In addition, Dr. Mazur-Kary received a “Masters of Public Health” degree – also from Harvard. She is currently a guest lecturer at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
In 2001, she established Central Maine Endodontics P.A., in Auburn, Maine. Her office today is at the same location – 219 Mt. Auburn Avenue.
In 2008, Dr. Mazur-Kary completed the requirements for board certification and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. She is also a member of The American Association of Endodontics, as well as the Maine Dental Association where she currently serves on its executive board. She is also on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Journal of Endodontics.
Michelle is married to Dr. Daniel Kary, a retired osteopathic physician in Lewiston, Maine. They are former co-owners of two Italian restaurants in Portland (“Cinque Terre’ and “Vignola” for all you foodies.) They live on Grandview Farm in Greene where they grow organic crops for their restaurant’s use.
During her leisure time, Michelle enjoys biking, gardening and reading. She is a member of the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce. She also enjoys playing bells in her church choir.
